Abstract :
In this paper, we derive the energy efficiency (EE) region for Gaussian multiple access channels, while considering circuit power consumption. With the help of the EE region, the fundamental EE tradeoff and SE-EE tradeoff among different users are investigated, and the differences in the EE region and SE-EE tradeoff relations under different power consumption models are demonstrated. Additionally, we also discuss the effect of additive white Gaussian noise on these fundamental tradeoffs. Our findings can be adopted as useful guidelines in future designs for green radio technologies.
