Abstract
The cardiac acousteome project is aimed at developing the fundamental science, knowledge-base, tools and technologies that can form the foundation of smart diagnosis and monitoring of heart conditions based on automated cardiac auscultation. In this paper we provide an overview of the project discussing the state of the art in technologies, modeling and recognition techniques.
