Abstract :
Cataract is a visible opacity found in eye lens. It causes blur, foggy vision leading to partial or complete loss of eyesight. Cortical cataract is mostly found in cataract patient. Early detection and gradation can improve the eyesight and lens life with necessary medication support. Manual gradation is based on slit lamp images and suffering from intra and inter grader variation. Slit lamp frontal images can be processed by computer aided diagnosis system to improve the detection and gradation. The features like intensity, size and spatial location can be extracted and processed for detection. Pupil can be extracted by using different methods like scanning method, ellipse fitting method. Gradation can be done by method like gradation using measuring grids.
