Abstract
A Mobile ad-hoc Network (MANET) consists of a set of mobile nodes communicating with each other via wireless links. The topology of MANET changes rapidly and unpredictably. In traditional scenario, mobile nodes rely on centralized servers, but in MANET this scheme is not possible due to high mobility of mobile nodes. So some auto configuration mechanisms are required for address allocation. In this paper, we propose a mechanism for address auto-configuration through binary split in MANET, which is capable of assigning conflict free addresses in a dynamic environment. Also we propose a mechanism for trust value computation for identifying whether a requesting node is malicious or not.
