Abstract :
This paper proposes a new adaptive blind equalization scheme for asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) systems based on recursive least squares (RLS). Linear equalizer based blind direct symbol estimation is considered, which is related to sub-space based blind direct symbol estimation. Compared with the subspace based algorithm, the proposed algorithm has increased dimensions but does not make use of the computationally demanding singular value decomposition (SVD). Furthermore, simulations show that the performance is more robust against multi-user interference (MUI).
