Abstract
This work is concerned with the use of iterative methods for image reconstruction from projections in 3D cone beam transmission tomography. It is aimed at the analysis of several 2D interpolation methods used to obtain the projection matrix and a set of parameters that play an important role in the reconstruction process, such as the relaxation parameter λ and the interpolation footprint radius, and the use of a Global Optimization algorithm for the best choice of these free parameters.
