Abstract
Fast output sampling controllers have been shown in case studies to provide a sometimes superior alternative to observer-based state feedback control. Nondynamic feedback of output samples allows a particularly flexible design; however the error dynamics cannot be designed independent of the controller in that case. Here an LMI design procedure is proposed that allows to move the error dynamics close to the origin, and that also makes it possible to include integral action and achieve low noise sensitivity. As a practical application, a multivariable regulator for a turbogenerator is designed and experimental results are shown.
