Abstract
This paper describes the modeling and the control design with a variable sampling period of a non linear process for the power supply of an X-ray tube used in medical imaging. The chosen approach to handle the nonlinearities of this system is a control with switching gains obtained from a set of linearized models provided by a small signals identification in the neighbourhood of many operating points.
