Abstract :
A minimal accuracy is required to achieve audio-localisation in order to place the face of one speaker inside the field of a camera and to initialise a face-tracking module. The TDOA (Time Difference Of Arrival) estimation variance corrupts localisation performance when it is based on a limited array of paired microphones [ber1]. We have revisited this problem in order to improve the signal processing technique and to put forward a mobile configuration. We have done a controlled experiment taking into account 8 factors in order to determine which ones ground the TDOA estimation variance in this context.
