Abstract :
The paper summarizes a methodology to analyze and assess the productivity and availability of production lines with asynchronous production control algorithms. The method is based on a discrete Monte-Carlo simulation of a complete line including component failures and production timing as well as spare parts supply and human resource planning. An example based on data collected in existing installations shows the application results of methodology and simulation.
