Abstract
A three-port DC-DC converter with low frequency current ripple reduction technique is proposed, which can be applied to two-stage systems as the first stage. This DC-DC converter is based on a traditional flyback converter, adding an auxiliary circuit as the third port to eliminate low frequency current ripple. Small capacitance is required. Open current-loop control and closed dual voltage-loop control are employed. The operation principle is discussed in details. The control strategy and key parameters design considerations are given in this paper. The proposed converter is verified with a 95W prototype.
