Abstract
Software reliability is a fundamental prerequisite for virtually all modern engineered systems that rely on software to manage complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems. This paper discusses the enhancements being made to the IEEE 1633 Standard, Recommended Practice on Software Reliability, since it was created in 2008. The enhancements to the standard reflect current practices and will improve the accessibility of the document to a broader audience.
