Abstract
We present a technique for automated identification of the minimum acceptable mesh coarseness in electromagnetic (EM)-simulation models. Our approach is based on the projected evolution of feature selective validation (FSV) Global Difference Measure. It can be used to determine required EM model discretization levels for variable-fidelity EM-based optimization. Illustration using a UWB antenna is provided.
