Abstract
Two types of artificial magnetic conductors (AMC´s), mushroom and uniplanar compact electromagnetic band gap (UC-EBG), were designed and simulated using FEKO and HFSS. Designs were determined for reflection with zero phase change at 8.425, 5.5, and 2.4 GHz. The resulting geometries and band gap characteristics are compared.
