Abstract
This work presents electrostatic and full wave analysis of an underappreciated model of ferroelectric interdigitated varactor, in which the plates are buried in the ferroelectric thick film. The electrostatic simulations show that with this design the tuning voltage could be decreased by more than 50%. The full wave simulations show that with this design capacitance per unit area could be increased by more than 100%.
