Abstract :
The effect of mutual coupling in the modeling of an 8×8 microstrip patch array antenna is presented. The antenna is modeled using embedded individual element patterns, and embedded 4-element image patterns to examine the effects of mutual coupling on the array performance. The measurement results validate the accuracy of the simulation results.
