Abstract :
In this work the steady-state and the dynamic performance of squirrel cage asynchronous motor SCAM coupled to centrifugal pump CP supplied from Photovoltaic source (PV) through intermediate boost converter is developed, studied and analysed. Simulations on a diesel engine driven CP are presented. Other network components boost converter, photovoltaic panels are implemented, modelled and simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The speed of the diesel engine is regulated by adjusting the fuel flux. The DC voltage produced by photovoltaic panel is maintained constant equal to the nominal SCAM votage with a fuzzy logic controller and by incorporating PI control system and using PWM technique.
