Abstract :
Fractional order calculus in controller design became highly used in several research fields during the last decade. This paper deals with the fractional-order control of a three level boost DC/DC converter used in hybrid energy storage system for electric vehicles. A fractional order PID controller is proposed to control the storage system through the DC/DC converter. The mathematical description of the fractional-order PID controller and the three level DC/DC Boost converter and their simulation in Matlab/Simulink are shown as well.
