  • Abstract
This work aims to study experimentally the efficiency of a serial association new designed cylindro-parabolic solar collector with a U-shape evacuated tubular absorber. Indeed, one cylindro-parabolic collector is designed and fabricated with a cost effective method, than a U shape evacuated tubular absorber is mounted on after setting the focal line. Indoor and outdoor experimental studies are carried out on one concentrator, after that six serial associated collector is fabricated and studied. Results show that one cylindro-parablic collector could increase the temperature of the heat carrying fluid outdoor until 140°C with a performance of almost 70%. For the 6 serial associated collector, performance is relatively less, 43 % in a cloudy day and 33 % in a sunny one, although the reached temperatures are respectively 143°C and 175°C. The decrease of performance is due mainly to increasing of inlet temperature.
