Abstract :
This paper presents a simple Space Vector Modulation (SVM) strategy for a three level Flying Capacitor (FC) converter. The proposed algorithm ensures a constant switching frequency of the converter and an active balance for the flying capacitors, main issue in this topology. The proposed strategy is tested in a DC smart grid connection. Simulation results of a 14 kW FC converter-based Distributed Generation (DG) system are described and discussed.
