Abstract :
This letter deals with a hybrid time of arrival (TOA)/angle of arrival (AOA) mobile location estimation based on the Wiener under relatively low signal-to-noise ratio and moderately non-line-of-sight (NLOS) effects. To resolve the model uncertainty and improve the accuracy of the estimated location under the conditions that relatively low SNR and moderate NLOS effects, a Wiener estimator will be utilized to form a new efficient hybrid TOA/AOA location estimator in this letter. Our study provides residence monitoring scheme, which can help family members or volunteer workers to identify the real-time positions of patient. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed location estimation scheme.
