Abstract :
This paper presents two different types with compact triple band metamaterial antennas for GSM (900 MHz), GPS (1.25 GHz & 1.5 GHz), and WiFi (2.4 GHz) applications. Two proposed antennas were proposed based on using integration of a rectangular patch antenna with two different metamaterial cells. The design has been carried out, validated by full wave simulations and confirmed by measurements. The results confirm that the two introduced antennas has triple bands operation with return loss better than 10 dB at each operating band. Good agreement between the simulated and measured results is achieved. The second proposed antenna size been reduced by 25% and 15% decrease in the operating frequency compared to the first one. The analysis, design concepts, full wave simulations and experimental results are introduced for the two proposed antennas.
