Abstract
To effectively integrate distributed and heterogonous open data now is an essential problem of Web research community. Due to rapidly development of open data, e.g. geographic, track, dynamic geospatial data, governments are required to release more and more data for academics and industry. The ubiquitous data are in various types and formats, e.g. number, graphic or specific format provided by different data sources, in distributed environment. All makes it difficult to integrate data to different domain. This paper proposes a data-flow integration mechanism with a unified description for distributed and heterogonous open data. Our approach starts with using Semantic Web technology and Web ontology language (OWL), to define a data flow-oriented semantic description model. This supports a domain view description which is a user´s aspect of domain. In this model, users are able to describe a domain view via three main components: (1) data unit, (2) link unit, and (3) domain unit. Final, we use earthquake disaster event as our example depict how the data flow-oriented semantic description model work conceptually. And our solution ensures data interoperability and provides a unified semantic description model to integrate heterogeneous data.
