Abstract :
Using Cluster-based routing algorithm to prolong wireless sensor network´s lifetime is an important research topics. In this paper we proposed a novel clustering algorithm named PLEACH, which selects cluster head more evenly. First, it calculates the optimal cluster numbers according to a new strategy. Then it uses improved PSO algorithm to choose the most suitable cluster head in the next round selecting in accordance with the residual energy of nodes and the distance between the nodes. Simulation results prove PLEACH performs better than LEACH in lifetime.
