Abstract :
The research provided reliable quality control methods to establish the quality standards of Os Draconis. We studied the identification (physical and chemical identification), inspection (moisture, acid-insoluble ash, heavy metal and arsenic salt) and content determination of the whole 16 samples (including 12 raw samples and 4 calcined samples) of Os Draconis. In the physical and chemical identification, all samples showed positive in carbonate identification test, calcium salt identification test and phosphate identification test. The moisture and acid-insoluble ash of the Os Draconis were respectively 0.01~2.58% (g/g) and 0.02~2.85% (g/g). In the heavy metals and arsenic salt inspection, we detected two levels of standard substance at 5μg/g and 10μg/g in both tests. The total calcium content ranged from 89.1~95.7(%, g/g) in raw samples and 95.8~101.1(%, g/g) in calcined samples. So we suggested that the moisture and the acid-insoluble ash item could be exempted in the draft quality standard of Os Draconis, the heavy metals content should lower than 10μg/g, the arsenic salt content should lower than 5μg/g and the total calcium in raw Os Draconis should not less than 85.0% and not less than 90.0% in calcined Os Draconis. These suggestions could provide reference to the quality standards study of Os Draconis.
