Abstract :
Circuits (SiGe and CMOS) are ready for >50 Gb/s NRZ optical TX and RX; SiGe can deliver >100 Gb/s NRZ optical TX/RX; VCSEL links have been demonstrated at up to 71 Gb/s; Silicon Photonics links have been demonstrated at 56 Gb/s.
