Abstract :
In this paper, a novel CPW-fed dual-band antenna for WLAN/WiMAX applications is proposed. The presented antenna is composed by an L-shaped slot and a T-shaped resonator. By using these two elements, dual-band antenna operating at WLAN and WiMAX bands can be implemented. The impedance bandwidths of |S11| <; -10 dB are 2.38-3.38 and 5.17-5.9 GHz, covering all the WLAN/WiMAX operation bands. In addition, the proposed antenna has moderate gains across all the operation bands with a compact size of only 30 × 35 × 1.6 mm3. Measured results are in good agreement with the simulated ones.
