Abstract :
Recent emerging trends in wireless communication system with the advent of high speed and security needs a low power approach for compact and complex VLSI circuits. The need of small in-band noise and suppression of out-band signal is always an issue for a wireless design. An achievement in these ensures an excellent linearity. In this paper we are going to present a Channel Selection Filter that will provide an intelligent solution for these desires. An approach is going to be presented using a conjunction of active-passive network. A 50nm CMOS technology will be used to reduce power consumption and improve dynamic range of the device. This filter will be effectively used in a wireless receiver for retrieving desired components and suppress all unwanted components when used in a conjunction of automatic frequency tuning circuits. These circuits found applications in TV Tuner cards for selecting proper channel bandwidth.
