  • Abstract
Microfluidic thermal treatment of seawater is a novel concept in the evaluation of the prevalence and stability of some fractions of dissolved organic matter in the aquatic environment. In this paper a microfluidic system is described which can implement this treatment and which is build using a low cost micro fluidic technology based on printed circuit boards. The technology and the production are described as well as characterization experiments and the first treatments with seawater samples.
