Abstract
In this paper, a dynamic algorithm for load sharing in multi-machine systems is proposed based on a principle of hierarchical operation of the motors. The motors share the load cooperatively according to the load variations and their power rating in order to save energy and optimize the performance of the drive system and the motors. The proposed algorithm demonstrates superiority in optimizing the drive system performance, and provides a significant saving of energy consumption and minimizing losses as compared to equal torque sharing.
