Abstract
This paper considers the imaging problem of a target hiding behind multiple non-uniform walls using through-the-wall radar (TWR). We propose a new wall model in which the relative permittivity of the wall changes along the direction of wall thickness, and propose the integrations-based wall compensation algorithm based on the wall model. Firstly, the wall is subdivided into many small layer, when the thickness of each layer is small enough each small layer can be seen as uniform layer; then figure out propagation delay of electromagnetic wave in the wall in the integral form; and then calculate out the focusing delay and imaging the scene subsequently. Finally the simulation proves the reliability of this algorithm.
