Abstract
A new electronically steerable antenna design utilizing electric and magnetic dipoles arranged in a vector-sensor type geometry is described which can transmit in any azimuth and elevation direction with theoretically no scan loss. Several radar and communications applications are proposed and an unmanned air system (UAS) sense-and-avoid (SAA) radar concept is described in detail.
