Abstract :
We have experimentally implemented a short-range visible light communication system based on the use of RGB-based LED which has widely employed as the light source in portable device for micro-projection application. The entire system modulation bandwidth with the use of a designed 1st order RC post-equalizer has improved from 35MHz to 188.5MHz. Data transmission tests using OOK modulation scheme shown that an aggregative transmission rate over 500Mb/s at a BER of 10-3 can be achieved without any offline signal processing.
