Abstract :
This paper demonstrates the use of OpenModelica, an open source, standards based software tool, to model and evaluate algorithms for the control of power inverters. The rotating frame PI control of a single-phase inverter is used as an example for the purposes of demonstrating OpenModelica´s capabilities in this regard. The results show the simulation of the DQ-frame PI control algorithm regulating and stabilizing the single-phase inverter´s output voltage after a step change in the inverter load during stand-alone operation.
