Title :
Health Information Exchange (HIE) technology infrastructure for Privacy Assurance Trustmark (PAT) test and development
Author_Institution :
CPHIMS, IEEE, USA
Abstract :
Development of a technical infrastructure to support Health Informatics activities, typified by the evolution of Health Information Exchange (HIE) across the US and especially for Privacy and Security needs, is characterized by familiar Information Technology/Systems Engineering processes for the selection and implementation of any complex system. Often this is done in conjunction with not-for-profit Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIO), Privacy Assurance Trustmark (PAT) platforms, State HIE´s or even at the nationwide level by technology organizations at a federal government agency (Military Health System (MHS) or US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - `Healthcare.gov´).
