Abstract
The work presents the errors induced by some geometrical imperfections underlying in the experimental realization of a 1st and 2nd order SQUID gradiometer with electronic subtraction. It will be discus the effect of the non identity coils of the magnetometer channels and the signal noise ratio for 1st and 2nd order magnetic field gradients for two different magnetic sources, one of disturbance and one of biosignal separated by a certain distance.
