Abstract
A transmitter coil system for use in two wireless power transmission standards are designed, fabricated, and measured. The coil system consists of an active coil and a parasitic coil. A commercially available Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) coil is used as the active coil. The parasitic coil and the loading impedance is designed, fabricated, and placed near the active coil. The input impedance of the proposed coil system is measured and shown that it can be used as the transmitter coil for both standards.
