Abstract
The paper provides valve cooling system operational performance in Guangzhou converter station of Tian-Guang HVDC Interconnection. It was envisaged that such information could be useful in the planning and construction of valve cooling system of new HVDC projects. It was also envisaged that the operational performance information could be of benefit to those concerned with the operation and maintenance of existing HVDC schemes. This paper highlights some of the important operational parameters for the period from 26 June 2001 to 31 June 2011, including trips and forced outages caused by valve cooling system.
