Abstract :
Process of discrete signal presentation as a sequence with regular self-similar structure is considered. A necessary theoretical knowledge is provided. Three algorithms of signal representation using segments with fixed length are outlined. Optimal parameters of algorithms for typical signals are presented. Analysis of the transformation efficiency based on LZW compression algorithms is produced.
