Abstract
Wireless sensor network is used to monitor and record physical conditions of the environment or any other physical object and organizing the collected data at a central location called as base station. Sensor nodes in sensor network are spatially dispersed. In this paper a new protocol REBM (Residual energy based multipath routing protocol) has been created based on residual energies of nodes and it selects an optimal path using residual energy of nodes. Comparison of REBM with Energy aware routing(EAR) protocol has also been done and by results it is found that overall performance of REBM is better than EAR protocol.
