Abstract :
Cloud computing is an encouraging paradigm for both consumers and providers in various scopes of endeavor. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is a way of conveying applications over the Internet-as a service, and it is one of the most important computing services in Cloud computing. Cloud computing has become a major medium for SaaS providers to host their applications so as to meet the demand of scalability of SaaS components. Delivering the SaaS through Cloud has a number of benefits, including resilient offerings and increased providers profit. In this paper, we have proposed a mathematical model for SaaS Placement Problem (SPP) to minimize the total cost of deployment in Cloud. This paper presents a novel framework for obtaining sub-optimal solution to SPP using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). In house simulator has been used to compare the performance of the proposed approach with Greedy heuristic.
