Abstract
Presented here is a design of a UWB antenna with four notches. The notches are achieved using overlapped CSSRRs and ground resonators. The four notches are at frequencies 3.6GHz, 4.6GHZ, 5.0GHz and 5.8GHz, where these four frequencies fall in WiMAX, HiperLAN, HiperLAN and WiMAX bands respectively. The notches in the response are created by resonating elements placed at these four frequencies to avoid interference with otherwise reserved UWB applications. The radiating patch is fed using coplanar waveguide. The designing and analysis has been carried out using CST V.12 simulator and PSO Optimizer.
