Abstract :
In this paper, Plasmonic based microstrip patch antenna has been proposed. The proposed antenna is suitable for WLAN, Wi-Max and DSRC applications. The antenna resonates at 5.9 GHz with Return Loss of -48.47 dB and gain of 7.6 dBi. By using the metal grating; Gain, VSWR, Return Loss have been improved as compared to the conventional microstrip patch antenna resonating at 5.9 GHz. The microstrip patch antenna is constructed by using a material of dielectric constant of 3.2, tangent delta el. of 0.0025 and 1 mm height. A microstrip line is used and antenna is simulated using CST Microwave Studio.
