Abstract :
Keratoconus is a vision disorder that occurs when the normally round cornea becomes thin and irregular shaped. This abnormal shape prevents the light entering the eye from being focused correctly on the retina and causes distortion of vision. Since the symptoms are similar in Astigmatism also, therefore there is a need to differentiate these two disorders in the beginning, so that the proper treatment can be followed for the patient. In this paper an algorithm is presented to differentiate the Astigmatism from Keratoconus using Axial Topographic images. In the proposed algorithm, shape recognition is used for classification.
