Abstract :
This paper describes the measurement of total pressure distortion of the TJ100 engine inlet and its influence on engine operation. The pressure distortion was generated by a specially designed distortion screen. Measurement was performed at different engine speeds. An example of the measured pressure distributions at the Aerodynamic Interface Plane (AIP) at one engine speed and the respective distortion parameters are presented. Change of the distortion parameters with engine speed and the influence of the distortion to the engine compressor map and engine performance are presented and discussed.
