Abstract
Proposed antenna is simple, low cost, multiband antenna. It gives resonance at frequencies 0.90 GHz, 2.40 GHz and 5.50 GHz which are suitable for GSM, Bluetooth and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) applications. It gives required bandwidth with good gain. This is Sierpinski fractal monopole antenna with rectangular defected ground structure. It shows proper impedance matching and also gives omnidirectional radiation pattern with low back lobe radiation. This antenna design is based on Sierpinski Gasket Geometry with 2 iterations. Antenna is constructed on low cost FR4 material with permittivity 4.4.
