Abstract
In this paper a 5 kW high-speed permanent magnetic generator system is studied, operating at 80k-120k rpm and with an output power conversion system. Generator performance under such power conversion system is investigated via a strong coupling model integrated with FEA and the power transformer system. A power conversion system is adopted which includes uncontrolled rectifier, DC-DC converter, DC link filter, and equivalent load resistance. The end effects of stator windings are reflected by the resistance and reactance in the circuit.
