  • Abstract
The presence of residual flux may cause saturation of the closed magnetic core and induce inrush current which can cause damages on the power system and the devices. To avoid inrush current, the elimination of the residual flux is required, especially in non-loaded energization process of the device with closed magnetic core. This paper presents a method to eliminate the residual flux based on the calculation of residual flux. Several demagnetization methods are carried out and compared to the simulation results. The experimental and simulated results coincide with each other very well.
