Abstract
The production of rare earth metals is concentrated in a limited number of countries, such as China. In addition, due to resource weapons policies in recently years that is soaring prices of rare earth, studies on the development of the non-rare earth motor is required. In order to maximize the power density, spoke-type PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is commonly used as a non-rare earth motor. In this paper, the method of maximizing the power density is proposed according to the winding methods through transforming the shape of the permanent magnet of the spoke type to Fan-shape. Also, by applying a fan-shape this motor reduce the core loss than general spoke-type electric motor.
