Abstract
Microwave Assisted Magnetic Recording (MAMR) is a technology to enable magnetic recording at smaller grain sizes and higher coercivities to push the areal density up. As compared to Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording(HAMR), it is easier to integrate with the current magnetic system, consume less energy during recording process and enable higher areal density if optimization is done properly.
